How to make sticky rice?
The first one to make the sticky grain is on the stove. You will need three main ingredients and a large pan. Ingredients include salt, rice, and water. Take a large pot and add 2 cups of rice with three and a half cups of water. Let the rice soak for a few hours. The minimum time to soak rice is half an hour.
Now, add salt to the pot according to the taste. It may be half a teaspoon. Stir it well and put it on the stove. Now, add this stage and let the water of the rice boil. Once the boiling starts, cover half of the pan’s lid and low down the flame from medium-low. Cook it for ten to fifteen minutes. And check the rice water by removing the rice from the center with the help of a fork. Let it cook for ten minutes or till the water dries out if you find water still. But, remember, do not stir the rice once you have started cooking them. Once all the water has dried up, cover the lid properly and close the flame. Keep the rice covered for five to ten minutes as it is. And then serve. Enjoy the yummy and sticky grain ever.
The second way is the easiest way to make rice on the stove. That is the way to cook rice in the pressure cooker. It always proves to be the foolproof way. To make rice in the oven, you will first need a rice cooker and three ingredients as above. Rice, salt, and water. Now, follow the steps like soaking 2 cups of rice in 2 and a half cups of water. Let it soak for a maximum of hours. The more you wash your rice, the more sticky the rice will be as a result. Once you have soaked it for maximum hours, mix in the salt and let it cook on the pressure cooker for fifteen to twenty minutes. If your pressure cooker is automatic, let it cook itself. Once the rice is cooked, let it rest for five minutes before serving.
Always remember to buy the best rice for making sticky rice. They come in the market labeled as long-grain sticky rice. You can also use brown rice or white rice, but the result will differ.
